What does Council have planned for the future?

Council invites the community to provide feedback on our Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan and Budget - 2024/25, which also includes Council's proposed Fees and Charges.

The draft Plan outlines how Council is working towards achieving the community’s aspirations and long-term vision for our City. This vision is outlined in our Community Strategic Plan - Shoalhaven 2032.

In response to an independent report of Council’s financial position in November 2023, Council is also working through a list of measures to increase revenue and decrease costs whilst continuing to provide works and services across the City and try to rebuild our cash reserves to respond to unforeseen events.

Draft Documents

You can access the draft documents by viewing them in the Document Library on this web this page. We'd like your feedback on the:

Proposed Capital Works Program

As part of the exhibition, a full list of the proposed 2024/25 Capital Works Program can be found on pages 81-88 of the Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan and Budget - 2024/25 which can be downloaded from the Document Library.

A conservative capital works program has been developed, which includes the improvement and replacement works for roads and bridges in places across our City. Capital projects include bridge and road upgrades, shared user paths, water & sewer projects and improved waste facilities.

Council’s Natural Disaster Reconstruction Team will continue delivery of infrastructure recovery works from the numerous significant weather events that have impacted the Shoalhaven since 2020. Progress in delivery of these works can be found on Council’s website through the following master page: Natural Disaster Reconstruction Works.

Printed copies of the draft documents will also be available to view at one of Council's Libraries and the Nowra City Admin Centre and the Ulladulla Branch Office.
