We’re inviting you to have your say on the future management of more than 60 public boat launching facilities and numerous mooring structures across the Shoalhaven, including boat ramps, wharves, jetties and pontoons.
Council is developing the Shoalhaven Boating Infrastructure Optimisation Plan and Management Strategy. Your input is crucial to inform our review of the usage, function and capacity of these assets.
The review will consider social, environmental and financial long-term management of Council-managed boating infrastructure, as well as opportunities and constraints for renewal and remediation.
The strategy is being developed with funding from Transport for NSW through the Boating Infrastructure for Communities Grants Program. Council is working with key State Government stakeholders, including Crown Lands (Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure) and Transport for NSW.
Council will finalise a long-term, strategic approach to managing waterways infrastructure, aligning with Council’s Coastal Management Programs (CMPs).
The surveywill be open until 5pm 17 July 2026. Should you have any questions or wish to discuss the project, please contact the Coast & Waterways Unit on 1300 293 111 or email on: coastal.management@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au
