Submissions on the Planning Proposal and Biodiversity Certification Application are now closed. Thanks to everyone who took the time to attend a drop-in-session and/or make a submission.

Feedback will be reviewed and included in a report to Council when meetings resume after the 2021 Local Government Elections.

Please note that the lifecycle for the Planning Proposal has been adjusted to reflect the pause in Council meetings.

Drop-in Sessions were held at the North Nowra Community Centre on Tuesday, 8 June, 2021 and Wednesday, 9 June, 2021 as previously advertised. The sessions, by appointment only, were well attended. Information was provided to participants, on request, and questions answered in response to a range of issues arising from the Planning Proposal. Thank you to all those who took the opportunity to attend.

If you would like to attend a drop-in session, please register your interest through the Session Registration tab on this web page by no later than 5pm, Tuesday 1 June 2021.

The Planning Proposal (PP005) to amend Shoalhaven Local Environmental Plan 2014 and the accompanying Application for Biodiversity Certification will be on Public Exhibition for community feedback from Wednesday 12 May 2021. All submissions must be received in writing by 5pm, Friday 25 June 2021.

Feedback on PP005 is welcomed. Submissions will be considered and reported to Council in due course - submitters will be notified prior to this occurring.

Feedback on the Biodiversity Certification Application is also welcomed and should be made using the separate feedback form. Council is required to forward all submissions received to the Applicant for inclusion in a report to the NSW Minister for Energy & the Environment.

Drop-in Sessions – Expression of Interest

If you have read the exhibition documents including FAQs and have further questions, you may wish to attend a drop-in information session. Council is seeking ‘expressions of interest' from people who would like to attend a drop-in session at the North Nowra Community Centre on either 8 June 2021 or 9 June 2021. If you are interested in attending one of these sessions, please go to the ‘Session Registration’ Tab. Consistent with Covid protocols, drop-in sessions would be by appointment only in groups of not more than 10, for a duration of 30 minutes. Council will contact you via email or phone to confirm the time of your appointment. Please note that if there is insufficient demand for the sessions, they will not proceed.
