Shoalhaven City Council has released a preliminary design for an accessible beach access way ramp at Plantation Point, Vincentia, and would like your feedback.

    Brief History

Initially, Barfleur Beach was the location identified for an accessible beach access way. Due to significant site constraints and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage matters, the location was shifted to Plantation Point, leading down to Nelson’s Beach.

    The Design

After the initial consultation with local key community stakeholders, a suitable site location was identified.

The Proposed Site Location links up with the existing pathway along Plantation Point Parade, and is close in site to the existing car park, proposed playground and proposed amenity block. On the overall side plan provided, Zone D (green dotted line) is the proposed area for the access way boardwalk.

The Detailed Preliminary Site Plans and Concept Photos show the proposed location and design concept.

    Your feedback

Council is seeking your feedback on the plan via a quick online survey.

Please provide your feedback by 12:00 noon, Friday 18 December 2020.
