The Draft Strategic Growth Principles for Shoalhaven acts as a guideline, designed to influence decision-making around land use in the Shoalhaven.

The principles have been developed in the wake of significant change and challenges such as housing supply, land use planning and historic planning decisions.

The draft principles address:

  • Housing supply, diversity and affordability
  • Efficient use of infrastructure
  • Protecting biodiversity resources
  • Avoiding natural hazards

The principles will be embedded into Shoalhaven 2040, Council’s adopted Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS). The LSPS is a high-level strategic land use planning document setting out the work Council will do to identify and meet the communities land use needs over the next 20 years.

We want to know what you think about our list of 10 proposed growth principles which have been drafted to guide how Council manages development and land use for many years come. Online Survey in now closed.
