General Community Use Reserves Plans of Management Survey

Council are currently in the process of revising the existing General Community Use Generic Plan of Management as a result of the legislation changes to the Crown Management Act 2016.

The primary changes to the Plan of Management will be to include land that is Crown Reserves, and has been allocated a ‘General Community Use’ initial categorisation under the Local Government Act 1993.

The purpose of this survey is to seek feedback from the community on how they value general community use reserves in Shoalhaven, any issues or challenges experienced or identified at parks in Shoalhaven and what they would like to see as the future direction of general community use reserves in Shoalhaven.

Land that is categorised as ‘General Community Use’ under the Local Government Act 1993 and is covered in the General Community Use Plan of Management is land that may be made available for use for any purpose for which community land may be used, whether by the public at large or by specific sections of the public, for example, community gardens, child care centres, tennis courts.
