Australia’s largest social research project is back, and we want the voices of the Shoalhaven community to be heard.
Place Score’s Liveability Census asks us to reflect on the issues that matter most to us in our local communities and consider how our towns and villages compare to others across the country.
Whether it's more shops, parking, access to green spaces, or improving public safety, your opinions will help guide decision making and contribute to national research on liveability.
The last time Shoalhaven Council participated in 2023; more than 570 residents took part. The results were shared with all levels of government and have since been used to help guide strategy and prioritise local, state and national projects.
This year Place Score is offering participants the chance to win a $1,000 shopping voucher, or one of 40 $100 vouchers that can be used at more than 200 businesses.

Place Score’s Liveability Census has closed.
Thank you for your participation in the 2025 social research project. More than 500 Shoalhaven residents completed the survey, which ran from 30 March to 30 June 2025.
The results will be shared with all levels of government to help guide strategy and prioritise local, state and national projects. Council will also use the results to help track progress in implementation of our Community Strategic Plan 2035.
