Sportsgrounds Plan of Management Survey
Council are currently in the process of revising the existing Sportsground Plan of Management as a result of the legislation changes to the Crown Management Act 2016.
The primary changes to the Plan of Management will be to include land that is Crown Reserves, and has been allocated a ‘Sportsground’ initial categorisation under the Local Government Act 1993.
The purpose of this survey is to seek feedback from the community on how they value sportsgrounds in Shoalhaven, any issues or challenges experienced or identified at parks in Shoalhaven and what they would like to see as the future direction of sportsgrounds in Shoalhaven.
Land that is categorised as ‘Sportsgrounds’ under the Local Government Act 1993 and is covered in the Sportsground Plan of Management is land that is provided for structured or unstructured active recreation. This includes training and competition, which may be undertaken either individually or as a team, as well as social active recreational pursuits. Sports facilities range from large regional facilities that support a range of activities to smaller sports facilities that have a more local appeal.
