Parks Plan of Management Survey
Council are currently in the process of revising the existing Parks Generic Plan of Management as a result of the legislation changes to the Crown Management Act 2016.
The primary changes to the Plan of Management will be to include land that is Crown Reserves, and has been allocated a ‘Park’ initial categorisation under the Local Government Act 1993.
The purpose of this survey is to seek feedback from the community on how they value parks in the Shoalhaven, any issues or challenges experienced or identified at parks in Shoalhaven and what they would like to see as the future direction of parks in the Shoalhaven.
Land that is categorised as ‘Parks’ under the Local Government Act 1993 and is covered in the Parks Plan of Management is land that is, or is proposed to be, improved by landscaping, gardens or the provision of non-sporting equipment and facilities. The use of these spaces and facilities must be mainly for passive or active recreational, social, educational and cultural pursuits that do not unduly intrude on the peaceful enjoyment of the land by others.
