Shoalhaven Playground Replacements

Shoalhaven City Council has a playground renewal program to upgrade and replace playgrounds in the Shoalhaven area.

As playgrounds come up for renewal, Council will seek feedback from the local community. Community feedback will be used to help guide and inform the design of each playground and what equipment the community would like included, within the set budget.

    The Kioloa Sporting Complex playground is located on Murramarang Road, Kioloa.

    As part of the Playground Replacement program, Council has pledged to replace the existing playground this year.

    To ensure that the new facility meets the current and future needs of the community, we would like to know how you currently use the reserve and what kind of equipment you would like to see as part of the playground replacement.

    The reserve is located on Cyrus Street, Hyams Beach.  

    In October 2019, Council were successfully awarded grant funding from the NSW Government through the Restart NSW Grant Funding – Sustainable Tourism and Infrastructure Package. Incorporated within this grant was funding to develop a Hyams Beach Masterplan.  After considerable community consultation and feedback, the Masterplan was adopted by Council on 21 July 2021. 

    An upgrade to the existing playground was identified within the Masterplan and is one of the deliverables of the grant deed.

    To ensure the new playground facility meets the current and future community needs of Hyams Beach, we would like to know how you currently use the reserve and what kind of playground equipment you would like to see as part of the playground replacement.

    As part of Shoalhaven City Council's Playground Replacement program, Council has pledged to replace the existing playground in 2022.

    The playground currently comprises of swings only.

    John Berry Reserve (also known as Edwards Avenue Reserve) playground is located on Edwards Avenue, Bomaderry.

    As part of Shoalhaven City Council’s Playground Replacement program, Council has pledged to replace the existing playground in 2021.

    The playground currently includes a swing set only. The original play items that formed part of this playground were removed some time ago following vandalism.

    To ensure the new playground facility meets the need of current and future community of Bomaderry, Council would like to know how you currently use the reserve, and what kind of playground equipment you would like to see as part of the playground replacement.

    Ellmoos Reserve playground is located on Jacobs Drive, Sussex Inlet.

    As part of Shoalhaven City Council’s Playground Replacement program, Council has pledged to replace the existing playground in 2021 as it is coming to the end of its useful life.

    The playground currently includes a swing set and a multiuse structure which comprises of a slide, hanging bars, tunnel and climbing wall.

    Council intends on making this an inclusive playground by incorporating accessible play items and ensuring appropriate accessibility is achieved to most of the play equipment.

    To ensure the new playground facility meets the need of current and future community of Sussex Inlet, Council would like to know how you currently use the reserve, and what kind of playground equipment you would like to see as part of the playground replacement.
