What is the purpose of this engagement?
The purpose of this engagement activity is to:
Invite suggestions for a name for the new park (we’ve chosen ‘Runway Street Park’ as our working title until a final name is identified).
Will Council be delivering this park?
Shoalhaven City Council will deliver this park on behalf of new residents at Badagarang.
Why isn’t this park being delivered by the developers?
The delivery of community infrastructure – such as new parks – at Badagarang will be shared by Shoalhaven City Council and land developers. This means that some parks will be delivered by Council, while others will be delivered by land developers on behalf of Council.
Where is this park located?
The park - which we’re calling ‘Runway Street Park’ until a final name is selected – will be located at 109 Taylors Lane, Badagarang, within the Moss Vale Road South Urban Release Area (on the southern side of Taylors Lane).
What will be included in the new park?
The park will include a fenced dog off-leash area, an open ball kick area with a picnic shelter, accessible seating and tables, concrete pathways, lighting, bins, a drinking fountain, existing trees and landscaping.
Why is feedback being sought on the fenced dog off-leash area?
The overall design features of the park have been finalised in accordance with early concept plans and the Development Control Plan for this area.
Feedback is specifically sought on the proposed use of part of the site as a fenced dog off-leash area to ensure this component of the park meets community expectations and enjoys broad support.

Will my feedback change the design of the park?
Feedback will be considered to measure if there is broad support amongst Badagarang residents for inclusion of the proposed fenced dog off-leash exercise area.
How is the project funded?
This project is funded by developer contributions and Low Cost Loan Initiative. Developer contributions are paid by developers to offset the costs to Council of delivering infrastructure required meet the community’s needs.
When will construction start?
It is anticipated construction will commence in mid 2026. Directly impacted residents will be notified prior to the commencement of construction.
When will the park open?
It is anticipated construction will be completed by late 2026. Further updates will be provided as work progresses.

When will the remaining stages of open space / parks be delivered?
The timing for delivery of remaining stages of open space is currently unknown and will depend on subdivision finalisation, receipt of developer contributions, and resource availability.
