Project Update

An open tender for the contract to undertake works on the connection of Far North Collector to Taylor’s Lane closed on 21 September 2021. Council staff are currently assessing the tenders received with a recommendation planned to be put to Council in November.

The tender period for the contract was extended by approximately one month to accommodate some COVID-19 related impacts associated with the restrictions affecting contractors from the Greater Sydney region visiting the site.

The project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2023. The forecast completion date will be clarified once a contractor has been appointed.

The Far North Collector Road project is 100 percent funded by the Australian Government.
