Draft Community Strategic Plan - Shoalhaven 2032

Last year, Council asked the community to tell us about their priorities for the future. Using this valuable feedback, we have drafted the Community Strategic Plan - Shoalhaven 2032. This ten-year plan will guide Council’s actions and goals, which we will deliver in collaboration with all levels of government, businesses, industry groups, community organisations and individuals.

The plan is on public exhibition until 5pm on Friday 10 June 2022.

What is the Community Strategic Plan?

The Shoalhaven Community Strategic Plan is a long-term plan that identifies the main priorities and aspirations of the community for the future. In 2017, Shoalhaven City Council carried out extensive engagement which involved more than 1,600 community members, government organisations and partners. This process resulted in the development of the Shoalhaven 2027 Community Strategic Plan.

Last year we checked in with the community to review and update the Plan to ensure it reflects the community’s vision for the city and is our guide for action over the next 10 years to 2032. It tells us:

  • What we are striving to achieve
  • Strategies we are using to achieve it
  • Outcomes that will indicate we have reached our goals.

Council takes a lead role in the implementation of this Plan, however, responsibility for achieving our long-term goals rests with all levels of government, businesses, industry groups, community organisations and individuals.

Each of the key themes and priorities have been identified by the community as well as a broad range of issues that are important to them.

Now is the chance to have your say and to check that the draft Community Strategic Plan 2032 reflects what the community have told us. You can view the draft Plan from the Document Library on this page.
