Shoalhaven Regional Gallery is an exciting artistic hub for the Shoalhaven region and the south coast of NSW. Each year it welcomes a vibrant exhibition program featuring both contemporary and traditional works, a diverse range of touring exhibitions by leading Australian and Shoalhaven artists and community based exhibitions.

In 2025 the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery turns 21. We are starting to think about what our community's vision is for a Regional Gallery in the coming years and how best to meet those needs. We are interested in hearing from you about what your vision is for a new regional gallery and what it can do for our community.

Council is working with Creative Plus Business to understand and define the needs, aspirations and opportunities for the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery and its possible future development. We want to know what you think is important for our Regional Gallery and what future you would like to see for the gallery. The feedback received will help us understand what our community needs, how it can be used to benefit both the local community and visitors and any challenges or issues that need to be considered as we move into the future.

This project is part of our Delivery Program Operational Plan & Budget 2022-2023 to 'undertake investigations to articulate a vision for a new Shoalhaven Regional Gallery' (1.2.01.06).

This community consultation forms part of a larger consultation program moving forward, that aims to ensure we hear from key stakeholders and the broader community to inform the vision for a new Regional Gallery.
