Yalwal Road, located in West Nowra, is currently in the investigation and design phases for proposed upgrades to the road.

The consultant, GHD, has been engaged to design all aspects of the proposed upgrades. While it is not proposed to construct all aspects of the proposed upgrades at once, the different sub projects are all being designed together to ensure compatibility with one another.

The proposed upgrades include:

  • an off-road shared user path
  • road widening
  • kerb and gutter
  • turning lanes at George Evans Road
  • roundabouts at Lightwood Drive and Rannoch Drive.
