Upgrades at Plantation Point Reserve, Vincentia

Shoalhaven City Council has received funding under the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund for upgrades to the playground, amenities and beach access at Plantation Point Reserve, Vincentia.

The upgrades include:

  • a new playground that is inclusive to all ages and abilities
  • a new amenities building with provisions for persons with a disability
  • a mural on the external surface of the amenities
  • accessible beach access from the reserve to Barfleur Beach.

Prior to the construction of these new facilities, Council are consulting with the community to determine their needs and desires at Plantation Point Reserve, and provide information about the projects.

The consultation aims to:

  • identify the preferred location for the playground
  • identify the preferred types of playground equipment
  • identify the preferred location for the amenities
  • identify the preferred design of a mural on the amenities
  • inform the community about the new beach access.

The survey is open from Friday 4 October to 5:00 pm Friday 1 November 2019.

Upgrades to Plantation Point Reserve

Shoalhaven City Council has received funding for upgrades to the playground, amenities and beach access at Plantation Point Reserve, Vincentia. Amenities (Public toilets)

A new amenities building will be provided at Plantation Point Reserve, that will comply for use by persons with a disability. The location of the building will be selected based on impact to the community during construction, safety, location of services and community preference.

Beach Access

Funding has been provided for beach access including an accessible ramp between Plantation Point Reserve and Barfleur Beach. Technical investigations and assessments are currently in progress for this project, and further information will be provided in due course.
