Joe Hyam Reserve, North Nowra – Completed
The Joe Hyam Reserve in North Nowra has been completely transformed, thanks to a $318,000 grant from the NSW Government. The recently completed construction work includes the installation of brand-new playground equipment, new bench seating, shade sails, and extensive landscaping, making the reserve a prime recreational destination for local families and visitors alike.
The upgrades to the park are expected to provide a significant boost to the local community, encouraging both locals and visitors to enjoy the area. These improvements play a crucial role in enhancing well-being in Nowra and the surrounding region. The new facilities offer various opportunities for outdoor play, social connections for parents and carers, and a safe stop-over for travellers, thereby improving the overall amenity of the community.
The new playground equipment features a combination slide tower, a triple bay swing set, see-saws, a rocker, game panels, and a nature play area. The transformation of the reserve was made possible by community input on the park design and the NSW Government grant. The renovated Joe Hyam Reserve is designed to bring joy to locals and visitors who want to spend time in the great outdoors. The new playground equipment ensures that kids stay active, while the landscape design creates a family-friendly space where everyone feels welcome. The new facilities provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the community to come together, making North Nowra an even better place to live.
