Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Update

about 1 month ago

December 2018

With Christmas approaching, it has been a busy year constructing the new Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre at Bomaderry. Clearly visible now, the community can see the front façade and gauge an appreciation of the building's size and structure. Currently at Lock-up stage and on the road to completion.

Key stages of progress include;

  • External carparks and roadways are nearing completion, with vehicle and pedestrian entry ways currently under construction.
  • Landscapers are busy planting the gardens beds and laying pathways that extend around the perimeter of the buildings.
  • Inside the courts are looking great with wall linings being finished and painting well advanced.
  • Sports flooring is underway with materials on-site and concrete preparation in progress.
  • Tiling and carpeting is being laid in all changes rooms, amenities, mezzanine and café areas.
  • Kitchen joinery and toilet partitions have been delivered to site, soon to be installed, along with all sanitary fixtures, fittings and fixtures.
  • All services are in an advanced stage of progress, with the new electrical sub-station live, and power to the site established. All internal lighting is complete.
  • Water and sanitary drainage is compete with the rainwater harvesting system for rainwater re-use currently being commissioned.

The below photos show there is so much more happening and despite recent rains the building is still on track for an opening mid-2019. If the images are not visable, view photos here.
