May 2022 Project Update Junction Court and Jellybean Park

Junction Court will closed to all vehicle traffic for one week whilst Council staff and contractors carry out the finishing touches to the Revitalisation project.

The period of closure to all vehicle traffic will be from Monday, 23 May to Friday 27 May 2022, however full pedestrian access will be maintained during that period.

The finishing touches will include:

  • Installation of overhead festoon lighting
  • Installation of two storage cabinets to house outdoor chess pieces and outdoor dining table and chairs
  • Installation of an additional waste bin
  • Placement of additional plant containers
  • Adjustment to one of the cantilevered umbrellas
  • Installation of LED lighting to both storage cabinets and both umbrellas.

Prior to the finishing touches at Junction Court, additional CBD revitalisation work will be carried out in nearby Jelly Bean Park.

Commencing Monday, 9 May until Tuesday, 17 May 2022, Jelly Bean Park will be closed to pedestrians whilst new festoon lighting is being installed.

The festoon lighting project in Jelly Bean Park will complement the festoon lighting and umbrella LED lighting proposed for Junction Court and enhance the nigh time beauty and ambiance of both localities

Both projects have been endorsed by the Nowra CBD Revitalisation Strategy Committee and funded by the NSW State Government’s Your High Street grant program.
