Feedback invited on Lower Shoalhaven River Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan
Residents in the Shoalhaven River catchment are invited to have a say on the measures they would like to see implemented to manage flood risk in their community.
The Draft Lower Shoalhaven River Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan (FRMSP) is now on public exhibition with feedback welcome until Sunday 15 March.
The plan recommends 24 measures to mitigate flood risk in the study area. It was developed following completion of a technical floodplain risk management study, which identified the most effective and feasible measures to manage flooding against criteria including financial, environmental and practical considerations.
Residents are now encouraged to view the FRMSP and associated documents and provide feedback.
Documents on exhibition:
- Location-based video presentations that explains the study development and key outcomes, accessible from the 'Video Library' in the right hand side of the page.
- A short summary report that outlines the study development and key outcomes.
- The Draft Lower Shoalhaven River FRMSP plan
- The Draft Lower Shoalhaven River FRMSP study
- The Draft Lower Shoalhaven River FRMSP mapping compendium
- NSW State Emergency Service (SES) Lower Shoalhaven River FloodSafe guide.
