Feedback sought on proposed rezoning for Nebraska Estate

The community is now invited to provide feedback on proposed changes to the Shoalhaven Local Environment Plan (LEP) to rezone land within the Nebraska Estate.

The Planning Proposal (rezoning) has been prepared by Council and is now on public exhibition.

The proposal aims to protect the Estate’s environmentally sensitive land and allow for limited residential development, where appropriate.

Shoalhaven residents are now invited to view the Planning Proposal via Council’s Document’s on Exhibition website and have their say by providing a written submission.

Submissions close on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

A drop-in information session will also be held for anyone interested in learning more about the proposed changes.

  • Date: Wednesday, 21 January 2025
  • Time: Open from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Location: St Georges Basin Community Centre, 21 Meriton St, St Georges Basin

The drop-in session format is flexible. You’re welcome to arrive at a time that is convenient for you (between 3:30 and 6:00 pm) and speak in person with Council’s Strategic Planning staff about the proposed changes to the LEP.
