Public Exhibition of the Draft Lower Shoalhaven River CMP Now Closed

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the draft Lower Shoalhaven River Coastal Management Program (CMP). Over 990 people visited the project page, 157 people downloaded the plan and over 50 people completed the survey.

Other information from the survey includes:

• 78% of respondents were over 55 years
• 80% of people were local residents, 12% were business owners and 3% were Traditional Owners of the land.

Next Steps

1. All feedback received will be carefully considered and captured in a Response to Submissions report.
2. Following this, the CMP will be finalised, and results will be presented to Council for consideration, and then to the relevant NSW Minister for certification.
3. Once certified, the CMP will be gazetted and enter Stage 5, where the Council will implement, monitor, evaluate, and report on the actions outlined in the final CMP.
