Inyadda Drive Planning Proposal, Manyana

An information report on the Inyadda Drive (Manyanna) Planning Proposal PP007 is expected to be considered by Council’s Development & Environment Committee at its meeting on Tuesday, 6 August 2019.

The information report provides an overview of the recent history of this Planning Proposal, including the revised footprint submitted to Council by the proponents in June 2019. The report also outlines the next steps for progressing this project.

The agenda and report for the meeting will be published on the afternoon of the Friday prior to the meeting. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers within the City Administrative Centre, Bridge Road, Nowra commencing at 5pm.

Council received more than 400 responses to the community survey on the Inyadda Drive Planning Proposal (rezoning). A copy of the responses was provided to the proponents (with personal details redacted) in May 2019.

The proponents considered this feedback and have submitted a new footprint for the rezoning (expand article to view image):

The new footprint is very similar to the original investigation footprint adopted by Council in January 2014 (and that obtained a Gateway determination from the NSW Department of Planning in June 2015), while also responding to their biodiversity assessment work.

Council will be working with the proponents to complete the studies (as required by the Gateway determination) to ultimately enable the Planning Proposal and supporting documents to be formally exhibited.

Further updates will be provided as this work progresses.

Council has received a large number of submissions in response to the proponent's revised layout for the Inyadda Drive Planning Proposal.

We are currently processing the receipt of these submissions and will be writing to those who have provided contact details with their submission. Given the large number of submissions this may take several days to complete.

Council has received a revised layout for the Inyadda Drive (formerly Kylor) Planning Proposal (PP) at Manyana from the new landowners. This revised layout was accompanied by supporting documents. The new layout and supporting documents have been uploaded to Council's Inyadda Drive Planning Proposal project page.

Some of the maps from the Proponent's Urban Design Strategy have been separately posted on the project page as images.

Council has not made any decision in relation to this revised proposal. Council would like feedback from the community before deciding whether or not to support the proposed changes.

Council have received a number of enquiries asking if the new owners of the site have asked Council to change the PP.

Council has not received any request from the proponent to amend the PP since the Gateway determination was issued by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.

If Council receives a request to amend the PP we will consult with the community before the request is considered at a meeting of Council's Development Committee. This consultation will include notification on this website and a mailout to everyone who has subscribed to it.
