Floodplain Risk Management Committees

Nominations closed at 5:00pm Friday 4 October 2019. 

Are you interested in participating in how Council manages flood risks across the Shoalhaven? Would you like to assist with the development of Council’s Floodplain Risk Management Plans (as per the guidelines outlined in the NSW Floodplain Development Manual)? If so, then we are interested in hearing from you.

Shoalhaven City Council is establishing three Floodplain Risk Management Committees in the Northern, Central and Southern areas of the Shoalhaven and is inviting nominations for membership on the committees.

These advisory committees will contribute to the development and implementation of flood management plans, and will meet on an as-needs basis.


How to Nominate

To nominate, please view the Draft Terms of Reference and complete an expression of interest Application Form. Application forms must be received by Council by close of business on Friday 4 October 2019.

Application forms can be returned by post to: The Chief Executive Officer, Shoalhaven City Council, PO Box 42, NOWRA NSW 2541 or emailed to council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au

Nominations will be assessed based on knowledge and the person’s ability to disseminate information to their local community.
