National Eucalypt Day is held on the 23 March and to celebrate we’re searching for and showcasing the most spectacular and majestic eucalypt trees in the Shoalhaven!

Whether you’re a professional or amateur photographer, we want to see the beauty of the eucalypt through your lens.

Native to Australia, there are over 900 species of eucalypt that can be found surviving from the frosty winters of the Snowy Mountains to the sweltering summers of the Northern Territory. Exquisite in their variations of bark, blossoms, leaves and fruit, eucalypts are vital for the health of the natural environment and for the survival of other flora and fauna species that rely on these trees for food, shelter and protection.

Capturing and sharing the beauty of our local eucalypts helps to increase awareness and appreciation of these iconic Australian trees and their importance to the natural environment.
