Thank you for your input. This consultation is now closed.

The community is invited to have their say on the proposed draft Plan of Management (PoM) for Lady Denman Reserve, located in Huskisson.

The foreshore reserve is a tourist destination in Huskisson, home to the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum, tourist information center and the Jervis Bay Mangrove Boardwalk.

This is a valued place in our community, and people who live or visit Huskisson are encouraged to share their opinions on how the reserve should be managed to conserve its cultural and environmental aspects and activate it as a community space into the future.

Improvements outlined in the Lady Denman Reserve Draft Plan of Management include:

  • increase visitation numbers and events
  • improve programming of events and promotions to maximise the use of the community buildings
  • increase community awareness of the available spaces for use in the reserve, permitted activities, programming of activities and signage
  • encourage volunteer groups to contribute to the maintenance regime, planting, and infrastructure provision of the reserve
  • manage water movements across the reserve with the consideration for rehabilitation and opening of the fishpond.

The Draft Plan of Management is available to view and download in the Document Library on this web page.

Please provide your feedback by providing a written submission to council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au by 11:59pm Sunday, 29 October 2023, quoting reference number: 12578E.
