Plans of Management Review - Parks and Sportsgrounds
In the Shoalhaven there are 577 parks on land owned or managed by Shoalhaven City Council, 35 of these are located on Crown Land Reserves, while 542 are Council-owned sites. Of the local sportsgrounds in the city, eleven (11) are on Crown Land Reserves and 124 are owned by Council.
Council is required under the NSW Local Government Act 1993 to adopt and maintain Plans of Management (PoM) for Crown Land Reserves under its control that are classified as Community Land. The PoM for parks and sportsgrounds located on Crown Land must be reviewed every five years.
Council is currently reviewing the PoM for parks and sportsgrounds located on Crown Land Reserves, to confirm permissible uses of the sites, and ensure they are managed in line with community expectations. A list of the parks and sportsgrounds covered by these plans of management can be found here.
The information on the PoMs can be found in the Documents section on the right of this page.
If you would like to provide any feedback on the draft Plans of Management for any of the parks or sportsgrounds on the list, please email your submission to matthew.urbaniak@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au no later than 5.00pm on 3 March 2025.
