Survey Findings Report and Webinar Recording

A one-hour webinar was presented on 23 November 2021 by Council and the Griffith University research team to share the findings from the community survey which was undertaken earlier this year.

A Webinar Recording is available for those who were not able to attend on the day.

The webinar outlined the survey objectives, presented the results, and discussed how the findings may contribute to the future development of the long-term adaptation and resilience strategy for the Shoalhaven.

A Survey Findings Report is also available for a more detailed look at the survey results.

The survey engaged 390 community members. The respondents answered questions about their experience with extreme weather events, and about the strengths and weaknesses of the Shoalhaven in withstanding and recovering from these events. Some interesting themes emerged that will be useful to those involved in the preparation of the strategy.

Workshops Update

A poll was recently undertaken to find out the preferred commencement month for the Resilience Planning Workshops - now Covid restrictions have relaxed and face to face events can take place again. The poll found that the majority of participants would be ready to start the workshops in February 2022.

Griffith University are currently firming up dates and once confirmed the working group will be notified.
