Planned components include:
1. Dog park area - this area will be fenced and will include seating and shade for the enthusiastic dog owners.
2. Long vehicle/RV parking - there will be a minimum of 6 spots available and will provide an opportunity to drive through. These parking spots have been put in this location for economic purposes. Signs directing visitors to the showgrounds for black water dumping and refuelling. This area will be solely for short-term parking.
3. Picnic facilities – basic picnic tables.
4. Junior Soccer, Cricket and League pitches.
5. Natural amphitheatre – risen mound for seating and viewing purposes.
6. Pump track
7. Flying Fox – this will be a first in the Shoalhaven.
8. The Big Kids area will have many climbing components. Challenging and risk-taking ideas have been proposed.
9. The primary and toddlers area will be a space enclosed with natural fencing and landscaping features. All three areas will have a distinct natural design, due to Council and community going away from the traditional ‘plonk and play’ plastic based play equipment.
10. Across the path from the toddlers and children's area is the Learn to Ride facility. The area is currently the parking lot. The trees will provide an opportunity for shade and adventure for littlies learning to ride their bikes. The environment will be safe.
11. Bike wash station – for the more adventurous cyclists. Coming down the mountains and trails, stop in for a wash of the bike and a relax. Bike racks will be located in this section as well.
12. Nature Play connection to creek and path. This area was suggested by Rotary to encourage further use of the beautiful path around the trees and the creek. The designers are creating a series of directional infrastructure that will lead people to explore the natural section of the park.
13. The skate park will receive an extension.
14. Cricket nets will be placed over the batting cages to control any balls hitting users of the other areas.
15. Synthetic netball courts with half-court basketball included. The courts will be lit and an opportunity for casual basketball/netball is created.
16. Sports fields will cater to league and cricket competitions.
17. The path will be circuitous and have distance markers. This will take users on a journey throughout the park. Along North St exercise equipment will be installed along the footpath.
18. Toilet facilities: This location will host 2 standard toilet facilities and a lift and change facility for people with extreme disabilities. The path will be accessible from on-street parking. Installing a lift and change facility is part of the Inclusive play space that is Berry District Park. Having this facility will also attract a variety of users further distinguishing Berry and the Shoalhaven as an inclusive tourist destination.
19. Parking - greatly increased parking will be made available for park users. To date, there are 200 extra spots, not including the long vehicle parking and the bus turnaround area.
20. Tennis facilities
