The Gordon Timbs 45 Degree Rule now in effect

On 11 March 2025, Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting to adopt and finalise Amendment No. 57 (The Gordon Timbs 45 Degree Rule) to Shoalhaven Development Control Plan 2014.

The Amendment includes reverting the trial 45 Degree Rule exemption back to the previous version (version 4), which was in place before the 12-month trial period came into effect.

The exemption will be renamed to ‘The Gordon Timbs 45 Degree Rule,’ and it will include a reference to native tree species list that could be used for replanting (non-mandatory).
