Shoalhaven Arts Board Awards

Consultation has concluded

Shoalhaven City Council is inviting nominations for the 2017 Arts Board Awards. The Shoalhaven Arts Board Awards recognise and encourage excellence in all the arts.

Presented biennially, the Shoalhaven Arts Awards are an acknowledgement of the substantial contribution made by individuals and organisations in the arts, cultural and heritage sector towards creating a vibrant and engaging community in the Shoalhaven.

There is a prize of $500 and a framed certificate for each Award category.

The Awards Ceremony event will be held on Friday, 20 October 2017 from 6.00pm – 8.00pm at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.

A panel nominated by the Shoalhaven Arts Board will consider the nominations under the following categories:


Category 1 – Outstanding Contribution to Arts, Culture & Heritage


Selection Criteria:

Evidence of the nominee having made a sustained and progressive contribution to the arts, culture and heritage in the Shoalhaven region.


Category 2 – Young Achiever Award – Arts, Culture & Heritage


Selection Criteria:

Evidence of high quality practice in the artistic field of the nominee.


Category 3 – Outstanding Emerging Writer/Visual Artist or Performer


Selection Criteria:

Evidence of the nominee’s level of outstanding achievement relative to their status as an emerging professional artist.


Category 4 – Outstanding Riverfest Environmental Artist


Selection Criteria:

Evidence of the nominee’s outstanding environmental artistic contribution to Riverfest.
